Borealis Philanthropy is pleased to announce a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Black-led Movement Fund’s (BLMF) next round of grantmaking. The deadline for proposals is October 28, 2022 at 9pm PST / 12 am EST.

Please note this RFP is open to all Black-led 501(c)(3) or fiscally sponsored 501(c)(3) organizations, and that past BLMF core support, special opportunities, or rapid response grant recipients are eligible to apply.

How to Submit a Proposal

Proposals will be submitted by using the Borealis online proposal system. To begin, please take our eligibility quiz. If the eligibility quiz is successful, you will be prompted to log into your online grants portal where you will have access to the application. You can learn more about how to apply and set up your own online account here. If the organization has already applied or has received a grant from Borealis, please contact the grants team at grants@borealisphilanthropy to set up an account.

If you are unsure about your eligibility to apply, or have any questions, we encourage you to attend our Zoom webinar on Wednesday, October 19 at 11am PST / 2pm EST: REGISTER HERE.

Note: The webinar will be recorded and shared with registrants, so you are encouraged to register even if you cannot attend.

About the BLMF

The BLMF supports the Movement for Black Lives (M4BL) and other politically aligned organizations so that it can better shape policy agendas for Black communities, create alternatives to institutions that have been harmful to Black people, and build local Black community power. The Fund provides a dedicated vehicle for funders to support the ecosystem of grassroots, Black-led power-building organizations working towards community safety, justice, and liberation. More information about the Black-led Movement Fund can be found here. If you have any questions about your proposal, please contact the BLMF team here.
