Grantee Profile

Racial Justice Action Center (RJAC)

RJAC is led by a formidable force of queer, trans, and directly impacted community members who can speak from personal experience about the City’s policies disproportionately impacting the poor and marginalized.  The organization’s mission is to build the grassroots power and leadership of marginalized communities of color to fight for, and win, political, economic and social transformation in Atlanta and Georgia. RJAC’s police reform and de-incarceration campaign (“Communities Over Cages”) will focus on ending broken windows policing in Atlanta and closing the city’s jail.
