Kayva Yang

Board Member

Kayva is a consultant for foundations and nonprofits in the areas of grantmaking, community engagement, and facilitation for moving ideas to action plans. Most recently she had provided services to Grassroots Solutions, Minnesota Philanthropy Partners, and HealthEast Foundation focused on community giving and health equity. She was the Director of Programs at PFund Foundation where she had overseen the grantmaking and leadership programs as well as special initiatives that responded to the priorities of LGBTQ people in the Upper Midwest. Prior to this, she had worked for the national affinity groups, Asian Americans/ Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy and Hispanics in Philanthropy on their nation-wide efforts that built the capacity of Asian American and Latino-led organizations throughout the Midwest. Kayva brings 16 years of experience in socially engaged arts, immigrant and refugee priorities, and social justice within the philanthropic and nonprofit fields. She was a recipient of the 25 Leaders in Action Award by AAPIP in 2015. She previously served in a board or advisory role of PFund Foundation Board, The Social Change Fund of the Minnesota Women’s Foundation, and Ananya Dance Theatre.
