Rebecca Luxenberg has managed nonprofit organizations for over 12 years, beginning with a feminist bookstore in Portland, OR, which has since been made famous as “Women and Women First” on the TV show Portlandia. Her recent experience includes managing the finances, accounting, human resources, and technology as Director of Finance and Operations at National Council on Family Relations– the premier professional association for understanding families through interdisciplinary research, theory, and practice. Previously she was Finance Director at Conservation Minnesota and its 501(c)4 affiliate, CM Voter Center. In recent board service, Rebecca served as Treasurer for Temple Israel, a reform Jewish congregation in Minneapolis. She received her B.A. in Women Studies at Earlham College and her MBA from the University of Portland Pamplin Business School where she focused on nonprofit management and accounting.
Rebecca lives with her wife and two young daughters. When not chasing a toddler around, she enjoys hiking, swimming in lakes, and eating delicious food cooked by someone else.
