Power of the People:
Sourcing Grassroots Wisdom to Reimagine Philanthropy’s Learning and Evaluation Processes
- Movement-Defined Learning Tool
We are honored to share The Movement-Defined Learning and Evaluation Tool, co-created by our grantee partners and Social Insights Research.
Our recommendation for funders: Utilize this tool to replace annual reporting requirements among grantee partners. For more information on how we did this at the BLMF and CTPF—and to access some of the insights we gained by shifting to this narrative model of reporting—check out our intervention results.
Our recommendation for changemakers: Use this tool to share successes and challenges not only with your funder stakeholders, but your communities at large. We also believe the utilization of this tool will offer you opportunities to:
- Learn from and alongside community members
- Meditate on lessons learned
- Craft new ways of sharing the story of your organization and work
- Offer feedback to Borealis and other funders about how we can better ensure your success
