Fund for Trans Generations

Background

The Fund for Trans Generations (FTG) was created by a diverse group of funders to ensure that frontline trans activists and organizations have the financial resources and engagement needed to advance the safety, security and rights of trans people. The Fund’s grantmaking is informed by and responsive to trans communities and movements. The current funders are Arcus Foundation, Laughing Gull Foundation, NoVo Foundation, and Anonymous Donors.

Grantmaking Model

The FTG provides general operating support grants and rapid response grants for trans-led groups and projects across the U.S. Additionally, we provide resources for peer learning, leadership development, and organizational development for current grantees.

FTG Advisory Committee

The FTG works with an advisory committee of five (5) trans, gender-nonconforming, and nonbinary leaders to review proposals and help in the decision-making process. The Advisory Committee serve as advisors to the Fund and provide knowledge of the field, while building relationships with staff and donors and learning more about how philanthropy works.
