The Transforming Movements Fund (TMF) is excited to announce its Spring 2017 grants. The TMF funds cross-movement, intersectional organizing led by LGBTQ young people with an emphasis on police accountability, reproductive and gender justice, and immigrant rights. We believe that LGBTQ young people of color are increasingly some of the most visible and influential leaders within and across each of these movements. As such, each of the TMF’s 2017 grantee organizations features strong young LGBTQ leadership and a track record of intersectional, cross-sector work.

The TMF is also excited to announce the recipients of its Spring 2017 Young Trans Women of Color Leadership Grants. The TMF seeks to specifically recognize the important contributions of young trans women of color to social change work. Despite the challenges that face many young trans women of color, such as high and disproportional rates of violence, police harassment, and unemployment, these young leaders are making significant contributions to social change movements and organizations across the country. We aim to highlight this work by allocating grants to the organizations in which these young leaders are engaged.
