Economic Justice and Inclusion
Borealis’ investments in Economic Justice and Inclusion encompass labor and worker organizing, mutual aid, intergenerational wealth strategies, housing justice, and cooperative models.
Our approach is grounded in the belief that economic justice is inseparable from democracy, safety, and narrative power. We recognize the strong and persistent correlations between socioeconomic status and outcomes across health, education, and opportunity—particularly for BIPOC communities—making this work essential for our communities to be stable, civically engage, and break free of intergenerational inequity.
We support community-rooted regenerative approaches that center community wealth, ecological sustainability, and economic self-determination. Through this, we aim to counter the long history of extractive capitalism built on Black and Brown labor, and foster economic transformation.
